Solomon Carter Fuller Brain Health Brunch

This annual event is designed to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease in the African American community and provide education and resources to encourage a brain-healthy lifestyle. The event is named after Dr. Solomon Carter Fuller, the nation’s first African American psychiatrist and a pioneer in Alzheimer’s disease research. It is hosted by the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.

A Look Into Solomon Carter Fuller 2026


Taking place in April 2026, this year’s Solomon Carter Fuller event will continue to honor the groundbreaking legacy of Solomon Carter Fuller while inspiring greater awareness around Alzheimer’s disease and brain health. Hosted by the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, the event features a powerful keynote by Susan Flowers Benton, a brunch, wellness resources, and a live performance!
