Pandemic Adaptions

Drive Thru Resource Fairs

The Gleason Lab planned and hosted drive-through resource fairs for Madison-area community members. Attendees received healthy aging resources, pandemic safety items, research information and free meals.

Free Online Exercise Programs

The Get Movin' team began offering free online exercise classes early in the COVID-19 pandemic and began proving laptops and tablets so people could join from home. The team added outdoor classes and hybrid classes in 2021.

Home-delivered Appreciation Meals

When the pandemic prevented in-person appreciation events, the Gleason Lab and Wisconsin ADRC staff members delivered food to participants.
